The latest release allows the player to leave command of the ship and walk around on deck while it's still moving. Click the hull while sailing to leave command, and you can move your character as normal. Currently, there are no actions to perform while on deck, but it will be improved in future builds. Also note that the collision detection isn't perfect, which is something we're looking to fix.
